Breams and Williams
These YouTube clips show examples of musical dialogue played at a very high level: Julian Bream and John Williams teamed up a number of times, mostly in the 1970s. It’s interesting to see John Williams when he was quite young. Although he’s not as well known as Bream and Segovia, he was a real leading light in classical guitar through the second half of the 20th century and is still on the job.
